Local candidate forum… Blogsboro style

Greensboro webloggers are coming of age in the political arena.  At the last Meetup we began planning for a local candidate forum in advance of the upcoming City Council elections.  The date and venue are as follows:

“The candidates forum will be held Tuesday, September 27th at the Weatherspoon Art Gallery Auditorium on the UNC-G campus. An informal meet-and-greet will begin at 6:15 PM. Candidates will be allowed to bring and distribute campaign literature. The forum is scheduled to begin promptly at 6:45 PM and will last until 8:30 PM.”

By acclamation (and because he wasn’t in attendance), local bloggers drafted Michael Christopher to moderate this (as far as I know) first-of-its-kind forum.  Questions for candidates will be submitted by local webloggers and selected for candidate response at the next Blogger Meetup on September 21st.

Knowing the local blogger crowd, this forum promises to be lively, irreverent and informative… mark your calendars.  More information to come, but in the meantime….

If you have a question or issue that you, as a reader, would like to hear asked of local candidates.  Post them in the comments below.
