Running alone

What a shame.  With all of the supposed dissatifaction with our school board and county commissioners, apparently few people think they can do a better job of leading us.  And I guess that includes me because I haven’t filed to run for school board in District 2 either, as some have urged me to do.  I was really expecting others to come forward and challenge Deena Hayes because I really don’t think she is a very effective leader for my district.

With the filing period for this year’s election closing today, I am disappointed that so many locally important races will not be contested.

Almost makes me want to get in the truck and drive to Greensboro to fill out some papers on Market Street.  (I’m working in Raleigh.)

I pledge the cost of the filing fee if you do it.

Perhaps Deena was waiting to see if anyone else filed. There is still time. Go west young man!

Actually running puts your own opinions and thought processes out there for people to examine and critique. Better to just stay at home and complain I suppose… If I can ever manage to make it into any relevant district where you’d be running, you’ve got my vote!

You could still mount a write-in campaign!

You lilly livered, finger pointing, no back boned, big talking sack of nothing. You wonder
why people won’t run? I bet they want to line up for you to spread lies and
half truths about them, just as you did me. By not filing, but yet saying you
do not approve of Hayes, you just surrendered the right to ever comment on
ANY public official or someone running to try to change things. You have
always talked out of both sides of your mouth, but from here on out you
are just talking out of you butt.
