That’s what I said… over a month ago.

Another example of how our current City Council is in a reactive mode. 


During “Items from the Council” segment of the meeting last night, the Mayor and Councilman Perkins recounted how impressed they were with the presentation that the Kenneth Lewis, CEO of of Bank of America recently made to a meeting of Forward Greensboro.


Holliday and Perkins then related a challenge by Lewis for all North Carolina municipal governments to draft resolutions of support for our beleaguered textile and furniture industries and forward them to the Federal Government.  The Mayor also mentioned the same challenge that recently came from Senator Liddy Dole (thanks Michele).  The mayor instructed staff to draft just such a resolution.


I proposed this exact same resolution on August 27th.  This is what I mean by being pro-active instead of reactive.
