Bond batting order

The Inside Scoop posts a tentative batting order for the 11 bonds Greensboro voters will be deciding upon come November.  From Margaret Banks’ post it sounds like Florence Gatten is being deferred to as the expert on where bonds will be placed for them to have the best chance of success at the ballot box.  Makes me wonder how her political-consultant-learned advice might bode for the few bonds she doesn’t support.

I liked this version just fine because it simply lists the issues in the order of their costs.  No muss, no fuss, no undue influence from partisan ‘experts’.

How could they rank Matt Brown’s Project #6. You know we might loose the City’s Highest Paid Employee unless we give him everything he wants. Sure, it’s only $36 Million today; but the News & Record reported earlier with the ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament announcement that Matt will be coming back for more next year.

Who cares about what the city officials promised – we must keep Matt happy!

Hey David. Is that $5.5 million dollar figure for War Memorial Stadium the figure for the preferred option of renovations and reconfiguration? Just wondering.

Mike, It is the best option we could come up with within the retraints of reality, so yes… it is the “preferred option”.

Well if you have to deal with “reality”, you have to deal with it…
