Grimsley 33 – Ragsdale 9

Sat. morning update: N&R coverage here.  N&R photos from the game are here.

I think one of the best things about this non-conference win was the number of Whirlie fans that made the trip down Business 85Jack sleeping.jpg to Jamestown.  Our side nearly matched the Ragsdale’s in number of fans but the Tigers held the advantage in amenities;  they had all the restrooms and it was quite a trek to get over to them.  But anyway…

The Whirlies looked unstoppable… and were.  Utilizing about 14 running backs, who seemingly advanced the ball at will, (because our offensive line is soooo good), Grimsley took out Ragsdale, a perennial a 3-A power house program, without hardly breaking a sweat.

As a matter of fact, as this photo attests, some of the Grimsley’s o-line even had time for a nap between touchdowns. (Yeah… that’s m’boy… the nap king)

Grimsley has next Friday off before starting their conference schedule against cross-town rival Page H.S. September 29th.  Going in to tonight’s game, the Whirlies were ranked #4 among NC’s 4-A squads and #5 among all teams in the state by

Go Whirlies!!!

Could the Panthers borrow the Whirlies O-line for a game or two?
