OK, people, I’m not doing this for my health. This is all for community building in its most delicious form.![]()
Boston butts have to cook reeaaal slow, which means someone has to get up at oh-my-God-o’clock to make a preparation or two. That’s be me.
At last count tonight’s Southern Convergers number over 100. But we’re not a’skeared. We’ve done this before, however we usually stick around for the entire party instead of leaving the house to a bunch of tech-heads, out-of-town bloggers and politicians while we attend a 7:30 Grimsley football game.
The BBQ will be ready around 6:00, but things won’t really get going until later I’d imagine. It’s going to be cold tonight, so we’re going to stoke up a few of our outdoor firepits to chase the chill away.
If Jinni and I miss you when you get here, we’ll be back around 9:30 after the Whirlies beat HP Central. Save a beer and some ‘Q for me.ÂÂ

rock on david, muchos gracias!
Beat them but not too bad! Dot may decide that it’s not fair for Grimsley to be so much better than her alma mater and then may decide to implement an IB lottery. Stranger things have happened.
Thanks for a great evening, David!
