Beach, baby… beach.

In case anyone is wondering… I’m on vacation with family and friends at Emerald Isle, NC.

Regular blogging will continue soon enough.

Enjoy David. The world can take care of itself for a few days, but you and your wife and family NEED time. BB

We’ll be doing a family vacation there in July and are looking forward to it. Enjoy and let me know if there are any “local” spots that are must visits. We have a few things in mind but it’s always interesting to hear other people’s thoughts.

    Hogg and Mike K.,
Try the Grouper Grandwich at the Ice House Waterfront in Swansboro.
    …hope you’re hungry.

    I’ll second the Shrimpburger!

That shrimp burger is famous nationwide! It’s take out only and they write your order on the bag. Call them ahead of time and they’ll usually have it ready for you (252-247-2588).
I believe Oprah flew in to get one.
Also, if you’re at the Big Oak try Willis’ Seafood Market (across the street) for the freshest seafood available. Ask for Lynn.

Did you get to check out the renovated aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores?
    It’s great!
We had to park about a half mile away but we really enjoyed it.
    BTW, it’s snowing here.

Thanks for the input and we’re definitely looking forward to seeing the recently renovated aquarium (one of the reasons for choosing this area for our beach trip). Our NC Zoo membership gives us free admission to the aquarium and many other attractions throughout the state and nation. Bonus!
