It is just soooo obvious.

Oh Ma Ga.  The mother of all local media conspriracies is playing out in the “A” section of today’s N&R.  It is just so obvious.

On A-1, reporter Margaret Banks gives space to the petition started in a local restaurant to remove our city manager.  Within the article, Mayor Holliday defends Mitch Johnson for the upteenth time saying things… - unbelievable things - to defend the manager, things like…

(Holliday on Johnson) “We know where he’s come from on his actions.” And then there’s this: (Johnson on the Rhino Times) “At the end of the day, (Johnson said) he must decide whether his actions are judged appropriate by the state attorney general or ‘a tabloid newspaper’.”

Then, when you turn to the editorial section, there’s that stupid, naive City Council defender - aka, Mitch Johnson’s puppet David Hoggard - echoing the party line in his bi-weekly column!!!!

Don’t be fooled, people.  This seemingly random convergence of news and editorial is just more proof that this whole Wray thing is being directed by the Simpkins PAC and the N&R.

If you don’t believe it, just ask all of the white customers clamoring to sign the petition down at the Coliseum Country Cafe.  But please don’t ask the establishment’s black customers their opinion, don’t ask them to sign that petition either, because, as owner Carolyn Johnson cautions, they can’t be trusted to grasp this whole conspiracy and white people just can’t be sure where they stand.

As further proof of this conspiracy to bolster flagging support for Johnson and the City Council, this correspondent has discovered that reporter Margaret Moffet-Banks lives on the same street as that ‘intellectually challenged’ David Hoggard.

    posted elsewhere—

I have visited with Hogg and like him. He is a good guy. He is ready to move on and here is my simple thought.

If it was Hogg that was in the same place as David Wray I would bet that he would not be ready to move on and that he would want me/us to champion him until proven guilty as I would believe what Hogg told me to be true. David Wray was top of his class in high school and has been a top performer ever sense. What happened?…one day he woke up and said..hmmm…let me become a complete screw up?
    I don’t think so.

It irks me that we have a few that are ready to not offer any form of innocent until proven guilty.

“It irks me that we have a few that are ready to not offer any form of innocent until proven guilty.”

Meb, the only question is whether those people are engaging in pushback, or as Sam suggested at his place, hedging their bets somewhat by fence sitting but leaning to the side of the City Manager/attorney/mayor/council.

Meanwhile, others are not allowed to express their opinions based on the known facts.

I wonder when the next blogger meet up with Mitch is taking place, Meb.

    Do you know??

You seem to have forgotten we are living in Wonderlad. Verdict first trial later. Off with their hears. Off with their heads. Suppose Mitch likes croquet ?
