Those ugly vinyl windows

David Wharton found someone who despises vinyl replacement windows almost as much as I do.  As I said during my presentation at Preservation North Carolina’s conference last week, most vinyl window salesmen will lie like a dog to make a sale.

The new mantra among the preservation community is this: “No maintenance means they can’t be repaired.”

Don’t replace your original windows, repair them.

I truly appreciate the comment ” most vinyl window salesmen will lie like a dog to make a sale”, “vinyl” being the qualifier that I respect your use of.

You, sir, would NOT be included especially - even as a new window salesman.

Some good things were said about Marvin windows during the session and I chimed in to offer a glowing recommendation for both Guilford Builders Supply their stellar window salesman.

I hate to say this but, in most cases those “window sales guys” do lie like a dog just to get a sale. You do have some that are loyal to their company and believe in the product. Not very many, but they do exist.
