Men Can Cook

This Saturday, 50 local notable fellas will exhibit their culinary skills for the 7th annual ‘Men Can Cook’ fundraiser in support of The Women’s Center of Greensboro.

Son Jesse will share the Hoggard table’s workload and billing in our 4th year of helping raise money for one of Greensboro’s finest organizations.  We’ve tried several different dishes over the years, but this year we’re going back to basics.

My old pig cooker is parked in the driveway in anticipation of serving up a bunch of Boston butts for the Aycock Neighborhood’s “National Night Out” event this coming Tuesday.  We’ve decided to slow-cook up a few butts Friday and provide a real treat for the throngs that will be coming to the Coliseum on Saturday evening.

Ya’ll come

David, I can honestly say that one thing I miss greatly from Greensboro and Aycock specifically is your BBQ. I’ll have to acquire some when I come home for X-mas.
