Lest we forget

The Carolina Peacemaker reports that Rev. Al Sharpton issued “(a) warning about the perils of forgetting the past…” and that he urged the audience to watch out for “Negro amnesia” during his recent visit to Greensboro to receive the Alston-Jones International Civil and Human Rights Award.

Best selling author Jerry Bledsoe, in a special to the Rhino Times, writes of a different amnesia and labels the Alston-Jones Award to Sharpton a “travesty”.  Bledsoe rips: “Did they just not care that they might be forever tainting the sit-in museum with anti-Semitism, racial hatred and charlatanism in presenting this award to Al Sharpton?”
